Silver Lake in Eastern Sierra California is the oldest “trout fishing retreat” in California’s Eastern Sierra that was established in 1916 and offers dramatic scenery and great Trout Fishing that is well-stocked!
Silver Lake is apart of the June Lake Loop that is 110 acres and is at 7,200 feet in elevation.
Silver Lake offers great fishing for Rainbow Trout, Lahontan Cutthroat, Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Lake Trout (Mackinaw) and the native Tui Chubs. Fishing is good from shore, a float tube or a boat. One of the best places to fish is across from the boat launch.
Silver Lake is unique compared to other lakes that it is very well-stocked with fish as the Department of Fish and Game regularly stock the Silver Lake, but the Silver Lake Resort also pays for Silver Lake supplemental stocking every season making it more enjoyable to fish here!
