From Phoenix, AZ take the I-17 (aka Black Canyon Freeway) north and exit on Carefree Highway (Exit 223) and head west and becomes Lake Pleasant Road ask known as State Route 74. Head west for about 15 miles and you” want to turn North on Castle Hot Springs Road and then continue for 2 miles to the Lake Pleasant park’s main entrance. To get to Lake Pleasant’s Harbor Marina, turn north on Pleasant Harbor Rd for about 1.5 miles to get to the main entrance. Please be advise there will be an entrance fee to get into Lake Pleasant on your next Pleasant Lake fishing trip.
There is another entrance into Lake Pleasant and to get there, it’s about 3 miles past the main Lake Pleasant park entrance on Castle Hot Springs Road. There, you will find lake access to the 4 lane boat ramp as well as shoreline camping areas and the Cottonwood day-use only picnic area which provides restroom convenience.
