June Lake Fishing Guide

June Lake is a mile long, 1/2 mile wide, 160 acre lake at 7,200 feet in elevation and just twenty miles north of Mammoth Lakes in the eastern Sierra Nevada and is an ideal location for its world-famous trout fishing.

June Lake Trout fishing season starts the last Saturday of April and ends on November 15. June Lake does offer a boat launch ramp and boat rental is available at the June Lake Marina.

June lake offers great fishing for Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Brook Trout, Lahontan Cutthroat. June Lake is stalked with Rainbow Trout. Troll the roadside of June Lake deeper sections to catch Rainbow Trout. There is shore fishing, but get there early as beach goers want to swim.
