Dankworth Lake Fishing Guide

Dankworth Pond Lake is a 10 acre lake with an average depth of 15 feet and provides a great opportunity for fishing that is 8 miles south of Safford in southeastern Arizona and known for it's Bass.

Dankworth Pond Lake offers great fishing for Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, Catfish and Panfish (Bluegill, Sunfish, and Crappie). Rainbow trout is stocked by the Arizona Game and Fish Department throughout the winter and spring months.

Dankworth Pond Lake offers a fishing dock and you are allowed to kayak or boat on Dankworth Pond Lake. However,  gas-powered boats are prohibited on the lake. PLease note, Dankworth Pond doesn't ahve a boat launch ramp available, so you'll need to position your trailer close enough to the water edge to launch you boat or kayak.

Dankworth Lake Rules

  • Park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Entrance gate is closed after hours.
  • Gas-powered boats are prohibited.
  • The use of minnows as bait is prohibited.
