Skaneateles Lake is one of the Finger Lakes in central New York (the fifth largest) that is 8,960 acres, 16 miles long and 1.5 miles wide, 34 miles of shoreline, an average depth of 145 feet and a maximum Depth: 300 feet at an elevation of 863 feet and is located just 23 miles west of Syracuse.
