Jocassee Lake is a 7,500-acre reservoir with over 75 miles of shoreline and deep, crystal-clear water that provides an excellent habitat for a variety of fish including: Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass and Crappie.

Jocassee Lake Fishing

Jocassee Lake offers great fishing for Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass, White Bass, Hybrid Striped Bass, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Black Crappie, White Crappie, Bluegill, Redear Sunfish, Pumpkinseed Sunfish, Yellow Perch, Chain Pickerel, Channel Catfish and Flathead Catfish. A valid South Carolina or Georgia fishing license is required.

Jocassee Lake Boating Information

Lake Jocassee provides access to four different boat ramps. Boaters using Jocassee Lake are required to pay the daily park admission in order to launch their personal craft, rental boats or to go on private lake tours.

  • Late spring to mid-fall, 7am-9pm, daily
    Late fall to mid-spring 7am-6pm, daily
  • $8 adults; $5/ SC seniors (age 65 & older)
    $4 children ages 6-15; ages 5 and under, free.
