Folsom Lake Fishing Guide

Folsom Lake is a 11,400 acre reservoir with over 75 miles of shoreline, has depths well over 200 feet and is on the American River in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California, United States, not too far from the Folsom Prison. It is located within Placer, El Dorado, and Sacramento Counties. It is about 25 mi northeast of Sacramento.

Folsom Lake Offers Great Fishing for: Rainbow Trout, Kokanee Salmon, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Black Crappie, Bluegill, Sunfish, Brown Bullhead, Black Bullhead, Flathead Catfish and Channel Catfish where you can easily fish from a boat, kayak or the shoreline.
