El Capitan Lake Fishing Report Overview
El Capitan Lake is a 1,500 acre lake reservoir with over 22 miles of shoreline and a maximum water depth of 197 feet that's located in central San Diego County, California and is known for it's Bass fishing and is just 30 miles northeast of San Diego.
El Capitan Lake does have a concession store that is open on Friday – Sunday from, 6am - 5pm. El Capitan Lake concession stands you can pruchase bait and tackle, fishing permits, snacks and drinks Boat rentals are available on a first come basis. Please note they they do not sell fishing licenses.
