Chatfield Lake Fishing Guide

Chatfield Lake is a 1500 acre reservoir, over 25 miles of shoreline, 26 mile shore length, with an average depth of 18 feet, and a maximum depth of 47 feet is located southwest of Denver on the South Platte River at an elevation of 5,430′

Chatfield Lake offers great fishing for Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Rainbow Trout, Bluegill, Sunfish, Yellow Perch, Channel Catfish and Carp. Chatfield Lake has boat ramps, a marina and plently of shoreline to fish from.

Most anglers fishing at Chatfield Lake preferred to fish by still fishing, trolling, drift fishing, fly fishing and bait casting.

Chatfield Lake, some of the most popular fishing spots include fishing near the inlets and outlets, gradual shores, steep shore banks and cliffs.
