Burke Lake Fishing Guide

Burke Lake is a 218 acres freshwater reservoir in Fairfax Station, Fairfax County, Virginia that's sits in a 650 acre park and is known for largemouth bass population. Burke Lake has 5.25 miles of fishing shoreline, a new fishing pier and four fishing bulkheads (in the state game area)and a boat launching dock. Privately owned boats with electric motors are permitted on Burke Lake.

Burke Lake Boat Ramp
Burke Lake has boat ramps that allow anglers access to the lake. This includes:

  • VDGIF boat ramp, which is located at the back of a protected cove near the Burke Lake dam and is for angler use only.
  • The other boat ramp is located in Burke Lake Park around the mid-lake region.

Burke Lake Fees
Burke Lake has a $5 launch fee for boats at the park ramp. Plus a $8 lake entrance fee per vehicle on weekends for non-Fairfax County residents.

Burke Lake offers great fishing for Largemouth Bass, Muskellunge, Walleye, Channel Catfish, Bluegill, Black Crappie, White Perch, Yellow Perch, Redear Sunfish and Blue Catfish.

Burke Lake Park Marina
Burke Lake Park Marina rents boats and sells fishing tackle including: Hooks, Fishing Line, Bobbers and Sinkers as well as a variety of baits including: Night Crawlers, Small Minnows, Chicken Livers, Clam Snouts, Shrimp, and Squid.
